Ringling College of Art and Design today announced new officers and members of the college Board of Trustees.

Thompson, president of Ringling College of Art and Design. ?Ringling students consistently receive top honors for their work, as evidenced by the recent Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and American Advertising Federation awards won by our students, and in a similar vein, I feel we are blessed with an award-winning board to guide Ringling into the future.?

Chair Ms. Isabel Norton has lived, worked and shared her passion, energy and talents for over 30 years in making Sarasota County and the state of Florida a better place for all residents. Isabel served on the initial Steering Committee and Board of SCOPE and co-chaired the Aging: The Possibilities initiative. In addition to chairing the board of trustees for Ringling College she also is Committee chair for the College?s Library capital campaign. Isabel has been a member of the Board of Prevent Blindness, Florida for over 12 years and received their Chairman?s Award for Leadership in 2006. Isabel is a 1993 graduate of Leadership FLORIDA, past Board member of Suncoast Workforce Board and has provided leadership to the Girl Scout Council of Gulfcoast Florida for nearly 20 years.
